JWC of Raleigh Endowment Scholarship
|
Established in 1983 in honor of Martha L. Dobbins, the Junior Woman's Club of Raleigh awards an annual scholarship to recognize the efforts of an adult student pursuing a higher education. Applicants must be residents of Wake County and plan to attend a North Carolina school of higher education.
The scholarship is awarded to an individual based on the following criteria:
- Financial Need: Verified by figures from application and tax records.
- Character: Based on a written recommendation and personal interview.
- Scholastic Record: Based on school records.
- Leadership: Demonstration of ambition and through service to his or her church, school, and/or community.
- Potential: Based on personal letter and personal interview.
